On the Usage of Information Technology Tools

By Bhagwans divine grace, one day IT Training-cum-Workshop was conducted for the District IT coordinators of AP state on 23rd at Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar, Visakhapatnam. Total of 23 members from 10 Districts (IT Coords from 9 Districts along with new IT team members) were participated in this beautiful event.

Programme started with the registration of participants, Welcome address by Sri Nageswara Rao garu, District President, Visakhapatnam.

Importance of IT tools in today’s world and ways to strengthen IT seva activities -Message by Sri SG Chalam garu, State President, Andhra Pradesh

Discussed the following points in detail:

1. Importance of usage of IT Tools in AP, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organizations.
2. Information Technology - Introduction, Tools being used in SSSSO, AP.
3. State Website https://www.ssssoap.org/ - Discussed in detail about the user friendliness of AP website, difference between Event and Event Report.

***Everyone has agreed that reports sharing in whatsapp is not the long term solution, they have to be uploaded in the website.

4. Demonstration of “Submit Your Report” , “Add Event”, Publishing of “Event & Event Reports”, Upload “SP Circulars”, Upload “Media News” etc
5. Discussed in detail about SAI ONE Mobile App for member registrations and Saione Admin portal for approval process, followed by demonstration of both the tools.

*** Everyone has agreed that all members should be registered in Saione and should have Saione Ids.

6. Importance of Bulk SMS, demonstration of the same.
7. Retrieving old reports & SP Circulars before Gurupoornima 2018 from old website ( http://www.ssssoapts.org/)
8. Discussed roles and responsibilities of IT team. And also had 1 hour open Session to discuss on way forward – Challenges faced by IT team to upload reports, expansion of the team, enhancements in the website etc.
