With the immense grace of Bhagavan baba in the auspicious days of Sarathnavaratri.. Vedam competitions were organised on 6-10-24 for the balavikas children of group 1,group2 & group3 in the district. Group 1 children were given a choice to chant either Shivopasana manthras or Narayana upanishath and Group2 children were asked to chant either Manthrapushpam or Durgasuktham. While the third group children the medhaasuktham or the first Anuvakam of Srirudram.
The programme was hosted by Saibrundavan Samithi.
All the interested children to participate were registered from each Samith group wise. They were taught the respective sukthas at the Samithi level initially . The competition was named SathyaSai Vedamrutham. Four-to five Samithi were clubbed and all the 29 Samithis were divided in to 7 zones. children were made as a group zone wise and training was given both online nd offline. Each zone was given a colour from VIBGYOR. the colours of rainbow.
From Group 1 catagary 58 children from group 2 around 124 children and from group 3 catagary 78 total 260 children participated offering their vedapushpanjali as their floral offering to our SaiMaa...
Their chants were judged by five judges on the Swara,Mathra and akshara shuddhi besides over all presentation as a group.
The programme started with lighting lamp ,garlending Swamy by the Vedam Gurus, zonal and Samithi convenors .
After a key note address by district president Sri VVS Sunilkumar ratho advising the convenors to ensure Veda chanting by every Samithi before bhajans and also at the gruha bhajans by these children who were trained and participating in the competitions .
His talk was followed by the district education and vedam coordinator Sri R.V.K Durgaprasad .He informed that in every activity small or big in the Sathyasai organisations Veda chanting is a customary and that in prashanthinilyam Veda chanting is being done daily morning and afternoon and thanked the parents ,the balavikas gurus and vedam trainers for training,bringing them on one platform .
Then zone wise children chanting started of each group 1,2&3. as a group on the stage. The programme was attended by all the convenors zonal convenors and district office bearers and the state coordinators Sri Kalyan and Sathya Narayana garu..
The best group was announced in each catagary and all the children were given a winner/ runner certificate with a group photo. With the parents and DIST president and their vedam gurus .
Delicious lunch was provided by the host team for the children
Post lunch session Swachatha se divyatha thak was carried out in the Mandir premises by the office bearers and District president convened a special meeting and reiterated the activities to be carried out in connection with centenary celebrations and insisted that all the convenors and Bhajans mandali convener must attend the special meeting at Dwarakatirumala this month on 27 th with our State president. The programme concluded with divyamangala harathi.. after expressing gratitude to Bhafawan and to the host team for their excellent hospitality to one and all .
